Mr. Bing's and the Barbary Coast (AUDIO PODCAST)

San Francisco’s early history included one of the most notorious red-light districts in the World. In this episode of the AA Hour, we’ll head to the Barbary Coast. I’ll tell you about some of the bars and nightclubs that catered to the prospectors and sailors along this infamous stretch of Pacific Avenue. Then I’ll introduce you a great bartender at a tiny bar, a one-time strip club, on Columbus Avenue, called Mr. Bing's.

  2. Yes....but on BAMBOO! That's what tickles me about the story. And howinna hell does the "Art student" claim that "masterpiece" as his own.

If you ever get over there, J, check it out. Great little dive! Michael is a good guy! And the drinks are cheap and stiff.
